Civic Landscape Architecture Award: Oxford Street Reserve
Entrant Practice: Blackwell & Associates
Client: City of Vincent
The jury was impressed in the way that Blackwell and Associates has converted a car oriented urban landscape and transformed it into an inviting multipurpose space for the public to enjoy. The safe, green open space enables life from nearby shops and cafes to spill and occupy the site, bringing with it activity, life and a place for community to connect. Material, plant and structure choice allows year round use in Perth’s climate.
